Hello South America class and parents,

I can not wait to see you all next week! I am counting down the days.  We have got lots of fun activities planned for you.  I know it will not be the same as it was before, but you will have a chance to see your friends and to also talk to the children who will be in your new classes at Boughton Leigh.  I will be able to work with all of the children throughout the week. I know everybody will not be coming back during that last week of term. We will make sure you do not miss out on what we will be doing so we will continue to post the daily activities on the website.

Mrs Basnett has asked me to remind you to wear your school uniform and to remember to bring back any reading books and library books you may still have at home.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

 Oxford Owl

Oxford Owl is a great resource we use in school all the time! There are maths activities, e-books, times tables support and much, much more!

Education City

Your child should have received their individual log ins to access Education City at home. If this is not the case please go on Asia’s class page and send Mrs Halliwell a message and we will get this sorted ASAP.

There is homework set for year 2 children and this will continue to be updated and changed.

Hello South America class and parents,

I just wanted you to know I am ok, I am following the guidelines for self isolation after experiencing a few mild symptoms.  I am doing this to make sure you, your parents and staff at school stay safe.  I am really missing you all but I know you have been doing some excellent work whilst I have been away.  Miss Lyons and Mrs Halliwell are keeping me up to date and we are all very proud of you.

Keep being the super learners I know you are!  If you are at home like me then continue learning...

Today I saw a woodpecker, nuthatch, blue tit, great tit, pheasant and that cheeky squirrel all feeding from the bird table! Why don’t you look in your garden to see how many different creatures come to visit? You could sketch them in your home learning book and then carry out some research to find out more about them.  Spring is nearly here I wonder if you can identify any spring plants growing in your garden? You could even create a springtime poem... remember your powerful pencil handwriting.

I know you can now log onto education city, bug club and oxford owl at home, use these to practice any areas of learning you know you need to improve on.  I have put some tasks and learn screens into the homework area for you and your family to look at together.

Keep working hard and I will be back with you all very soon so we can continue your learning journey together.
