Nursery

For children from 2 years plus. 

Mornings 9:00-11:30 & Afternoons 12:30-3:00

Our youngest children access our 'Play & Learn' sessions which are planned to ensure a gentle induction for young children into their Early Years Foundation Stage of education; known as the EYFS . Indeed a large number of our children start with us in 'Play & Learn' and move onto our Nursery class in the September after their 3rd Birthday. The EYFS is a fun filled, play based curriculum, with the emphasis on developing the three prime areas of the EYFS:-

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development:-  Making relationships, self-confidence and self-awareness, managing feelings and behaviour.

• Communication Language:-   Listening and attention, understanding and speaking.

• Physical development:-   Moving and handling, health and self-care.

We work closely with schools Foundation Stage Leader to ensure that the children are given the appropriate opportunities to make individual progress from their starting points, what ever they may be. We work together to ensure and that there is continuity in children's skills and learning which makes transition into our Nursery class easier for our children and their parents.  We are able to draw down NEF (Nursery Education Funding) for children the term after their 3rd Birthday.
