Our Primary Update

Primary Journey Update

As part of our on-going journey to primary, and the completion of our building works last summer, we have been approached by the Local Authority to support with the current increased demand for key stage 2 places across Rugby.

The increased demand has created a significant need for additional classes from September 2024. As we currently have the capacity to do this, we have been asked to take a year 5 class.  Consequently, 1 class of year 5 pupils will be joining us from September 2024 and will stay with us until the end of year 6.

To support taking on the year 5 class, there has been no requirement to go through the statutory process to temporarily change the age range of the school, as this cohort would only be in the school for two years and we already have a classroom ready and available.

The local authority will be overseeing the admissions process for the year 5 pupils, and we anticipate that application for places will open around mid-June ready for a September start.  You can find out how to contact Warwickshire County Council admission via this link WCC Admissions.  In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments regarding this we would ask that, to allow us to manage this separately from the normal running of the school, you contact us at the following email address: admissions2616@welearn365.com

Whilst this is a very exciting opportunity for us to finally welcome junior children into our school, we fully understand and appreciate the frustrations you may have in knowing that our current year 1 and 2 children are not able to stay with us to continue in their primary journey.

We have always been very proud of our community focused vision, and our ability to serve and support the needs presented in our local area. By supporting this additional year group, we will be realising this vision.

Kind regards
