Fantastic News on our Special Award at Rugby In Bloom Awards
What a fantastic evening we had at the awards ceremony. We were particularly proud to be the first recepient of the Mike Swan Award.
"Brownsover Community School pupils and staff have contributed so much to the Rugby in Bloom and Heart of England campaigns for several years. The school are extremely passionate in ensuring that every child is involved in gardening; including growing vegetables and they even have a day where the children get to eat the potatoes that they have all played a part in growing, as part of their school lunch. The children are so passionate about gardening and they often go home and tell their parents all about how they have grown plants from seeds. The children have a good understanding of how plants grow and enjoy going home and telling their parents how things grow and how to look after plants! The school have deservedly won awards with the Heart of England campaign and the Heart of England judges always look forward to visiting the school, when judging Rugby."
