Continent Week- Festivals and Celebrations

Continent Week in year 5 was focused around exploring festivals and celebrations across different North American countries. We focused on 3 different festivals: Merrie Monarch Festival (celebrated in Hawaii) The Day of the Dead (celebrated in Mexico) and The Festival of Light (celebrated in Canada). 

To kick start our Christmas celebrations, year 5 made a Christingle. We discussed why Christingle's are made, and what each part represents.
