D-Day
On Friday 6th June 2025, year 5 were incredibly lucky to receive a special D-Day presentation from Mr Edwards! Mr Edwards has collected many authentic D-Day artefacts over the years and was kind enough to bring them into school for the children to explore. He gave a very thought provoking and informative talk about the events that led up to D-Day as well as share some inspiring anecdotes of special people that served during WW2. Mayan Number System
This half term, year 5 are learning about the Maya civilisation. Today, we have explored their number system and learnt how they formed different numbers using their complex system. Take a look at our numbers we created using playdoh!
