19.6.18 Today we visited Conkers. We had an amazing day! Take a look at our photos..,
20th March - Today we went on a trip to a local farm. We all had an amazing time and learnt a lot about where our food comes from
World book day 2018
We loved awe and wonder week! We have been doing experiments with milk and made butter, ice cream and plastic. We also carried out an experiment using milk and food colouring.
Using a live stream camera of Times Square in New York City, we recorded tally charts of the different types of vehicle we could see. We were looking for cars, buses, taxis and trucks. It was 6am in New York when we were watching so thankfully wasn't too busy!

As scientists, we have been learning about materials and floating and sinking. We first looked at materials and sorted them according to their properties before thinking about which would be the best to build a boat from. We then deisgned and made our boats before testing them out.
We have loved designing making our own aeroplanes. We had to think carefully about how to make sure our planes were strong enough to survive a flight!
This term, we are learning gymnastics in PE
We have loved learning about maps in topic this week. We used google maps to find our school as well as programming Bee-Bots to travel around a map of the world

As part of live advent, we had a Christmas colouring competition
We have had a visit from a road safety officer who taught us how to stay safe when crossing the road.
We had a visit from our local firefighters who taught us about fire safety. We had to practise doing STOP, DROP and ROLL!
As historians, we have been learning about music of the past and present. We have watched this video together in class and discussed how music has changed. Please be careful when watching the video as there may be adverts.
We all designed our own record covers and are very proud of what we have made. We have enjoyed listening to vinyl records on the record player in our classroom.
