For children from 2 years plus.
Mornings 9:00-11:30 & Afternoons 12:30-3:00
Play & Learn sessions are planned for in liaison with the Foundation Unit to ensure a gentle induction for young children into their Early Years Foundation Stage of education. Indeed a large number of our children follow through to the Nursery class within school. It is a fun filled, play based curriculum, with emphasis on developing the three prime areas of the EYFS:-
Personal, Social and Emotional Development:- Making relationships, self-confidence and self-awareness, managing feelings and behaviour.
Communication Language:- Listening and attention, understanding and speaking.
Physical development:- Moving and handling, health and self-care.
We work closely with schools Foundation Leader to ensure we are moving the children forward and that there is continuity in their skills and learning. This helps to make transition into school Nursery easier for the children and their parents. We are able to draw down NEF (Nursery Education Funding) for children the term after their 3rd Birthday.
